Degree Program

D.P.H.

The CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy (CUNY SPH) offers master’s and doctoral degree programs that prepare students to meet the public health challenges of the 21st century. The school emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to solving complex health problems by analyzing their causes at multiple levels of organization (such as individual, family, community, city, and nation) and planning interventions that address these levels of influence.

It is to be noted that in order to apply to the CUNY School of Public Health, you MUST apply through the SOPHAS program.

CUNY doctoral students may enroll in the Certificate Program in Demography through their home doctoral program. Prospective doctoral students must apply for admission to one of the many doctoral degree programs in the traditional disciplines associated with demography, such as Sociology, Economics, Public Health, and Political Science. Once admitted, a student is then eligible to take demography certificate courses en route to the doctoral degree.
