The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) was founded in 1981 to analyze federal budget priorities, with a particular focus on how budget choices affect low-income Americans.  They have broadened their work considerably over the years, responding to new developments and entering new areas of research. They offer internships in a variety of departments, including Media, Fundraising and Development, Federal Fiscal Policy, Federal Legislative Affairs, Food Assistance, Health Policy, Housing Policy, and State Policy. Requirements vary by department.

Interns receive compensation in the form of an hourly wage, commesurate with education and experience.

For the fall internship, priority is given to applications sent by June 1st.
