CUNY Political Science Ph.D. with a Certificate in Demography

The Political Science program at the Graduate Center, CUNY consists of a community of scholars dedicated to the tasks of acquiring, expanding, and transmitting reliable knowledge about political phenomena. Its essential function is to educate professional political scientists, capable of independent research and qualified for careers in academic institutions, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and the private sector.

CUNY doctoral students may enroll in the Certificate Program in Demography through their home doctoral program. Prospective doctoral students must apply for admission to one of the many doctoral degree programs in the traditional disciplines associated with demography, such as Sociology, Economics, Public Health, and Political Science. Once admitted, a student is then eligible to take demography certificate courses en route to the doctoral degree.
