The Center’s Family Income Support (FIS) team is a leading source of expertise on the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) block grant with a strong record of providing analytic and policy support to improve TANF at the federal and state levels. FIS also focuses on improving TANF work programs and other cross-cutting issues important to low-income families. The Family Income Support Intern’s responsibilities include: assisting with data collection and analysis, legislative tracking, and literature reviews of relevant research; facilitating special projects of interest; and participating in coalition meetings and other external events.
