Demographers can be employed through organizations that represent citizens and businesses in both local and regional governments. These organizations need demographers to determine key issues that populations are facing and how to fix those issues. Demographers are also needed in order to predict how populations will change so that long-term plans for both the organizations and the region to be developed.
